Reporting To: Workshop Manager


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Beater to join our team at Hire All. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, performing repairs, and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards. This role requires excellent technical skills, a commitment to quality, and strong collaboration with other workshop staff.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Damage Assessment and Quoting:

  • Critically assess vehicle damage and compile detailed quotes for repairs.

  • Prepare a comprehensive list of required spare parts, including paint and other materials.

2. Repair and Maintenance:

  • Strip, panel beat, and fit parts to ensure vehicles function optimally.

  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to confirm that repaired vehicles are roadworthy and safe for use.

3. Respraying and Signage:

  • Respray vehicles to match original specifications or customer requirements.

  • Apply signage or branding to vehicles before delivery.

4. Collaboration:

  • Liaise with the vehicle mechanic during the quoting process to identify mechanical parts required for repairs.

  • Work closely with the mechanic to complete quality checks and declare the vehicle safe for use.

5. Stock Management:

  • Manage all materials and stock used in the repair process to minimize wastage.

6. Additional Duties:

  • Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Workshop Manager.


Qualifications and Skills Required

  1. Proven experience as a Panel Beater.

  2. Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and materials.

  3. Ability to assess damage accurately and compile precise repair quotes.

  4. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

  5. Good communication and teamwork skills.

  6. Ability to manage stock effectively and avoid wastage.
